Liverpool are being tipped to gatecrash Manchester United's pursuit of AFC Bournemouth's Alex Scott this summer, with the midfielder available after rejecting fresh terms at the Cherries.

Scott, carrying an £80m price tag, represents an intriguing option—particularly given his existing rapport with incoming manager Iraola from their time together on the south coast. While Manchester United are said to hold pole position in the race, ex-Liverpool favourite Emile Heskey reckons the Merseysiders hold the trump card.
