Arsenal's 22-year championship drought is officially over. The Gunners clinched the Premier League title on Tuesday evening after Manchester City's draw with Bournemouth mathematically eliminated their rivals' chances. Mikel Arteta's side had needed to win their final two matches while hoping City would slip up, and that scenario has now played out perfectly.

Having assembled what many regard as the league's strongest squad through significant investment, Arsenal's success represents the culmination of years of careful squad-building. The north London outfit splashed out £250m on reinforcements last summer alone, a spend only Manchester United exceeded in Premier League net spending terms.

Now comes the uncomfortable bit: balancing the books. Reports suggest up to eight current squad members could depart this summer as the club looks to offset their ambitious spending.

Hincapie Set for Permanent Switch

The club's first piece of summer business appears straightforward. Piero Hincapie, who arrived on loan from Bayer Leverkusen with a purchase clause last summer, will make his move permanent. The versatile defender has proven instrumental during Arsenal's title run-in and will join on a five-year contract.

The fee is understood to be around £45m, with all paperwork already finalised between player and club. Transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano previously confirmed this arrangement was always the plan—similar to how David Raya's move from Brentford was structured years earlier.

Potential Departures

To fund further recruitment and comply with financial regulations, Arsenal are prepared to sanction multiple exits. Ben White, Gabriel Jesus, Ethan Nwaneri, Gabriel Martinelli, and Leandro Trossard are among those whose futures remain uncertain, according to reports.

Kai Havertz and Martin Odegaard represent additional considerations, with both players entering the final two years of their current deals. Their situations may attract outside interest.

Cristhian Mosquera has also emerged as a target for Atletico Madrid. Having cost just £17m when he joined, any departure would represent a profitable transaction for the Gunners.

Whether Arsenal actually pursue all these exits simultaneously remains to be seen, but the blueprint for their summer window is becoming increasingly clear.
