Arsenal Clear Path to Landing Rogers After Confirming Trossard's Besiktas Exit

The Gunners have finally settled Trossard's future, with the Belgian winger heading to Turkish outfit Besiktas on a deal worth €20m (£17.1m, $22.9m). The package breaks down as an €18m upfront fee plus €2m in add-ons, though personal terms and wages—sitting around €9m annually—still require finalisation before everything's wrapped up.

This departure signals Arsenal's intent to pursue fresh attacking reinforcements as sporting director Andrea Berta and Mikel Arteta look to strengthen their hand for the remainder of the 2020s. Having ended their two-decade Premier League title drought, the north London club aren't about to rest on their laurels.

The exit clears space for an ambitious swoop in the winger market, with two names firmly in the frame: Morgan Rogers and Bradley Barcola. Arsenal have zeroed in on Rogers as their top priority, though Aston Villa aren't budging easily from their eye-watering £130m asking price.

That hasn't deterred the Gunners entirely. Transfer insider Fabrizio Romano reports Arsenal have made encouraging headway in talks with Rogers himself and his representatives, with Chelsea also circling. Villa know full well they're fielding interest from multiple suitors, yet Arsenal continue pressing forward, hoping to construct a deal—potentially involving add-ons or creative structuring—that works for all parties.

Barcola remains on the radar as a secondary option, though PSG's valuation exceeds €135m (£116m), with Liverpool equally keen on the French talent. There's a genuine possibility Barcola could move this summer, particularly if PSG secure Yan Diomande from Liverpool, which would free up the winger to depart.

Elsewhere, Arsenal have verbally tabled a £55m offer for Newcastle's Bruno Guimaraes in their hunt for midfield reinforcement, while Bournemouth have rejected an approach for Alex Scott. The summer rebuild is clearly well underway.
