Arsenal Chase £115m+ Wingers After Trossard Exit Confirmed

Arsenal have confirmed the sale of Leandro Trossard to Besiktas, freeing up funds and squad space to pursue two of Europe's most coveted attacking talents.

The Belgian winger's exit represents a ruthless piece of business from the Gunners, who are wasting no time in replacing a player instrumental to their recent resurgence. Besiktas have agreed a deal worth €18m upfront with a further €2m available through add-ons, though personal terms between the player and the Turkish outfit still require finalisation – though these are not anticipated to present complications.

With Trossard heading for the exit, sporting director Andrea Berta has wasted little time in plotting his successor. The Arsenal hierarchy are now running parallel recruitment operations on two fronts: Aston Villa's Morgan Rogers and Paris Saint-Germain's Bradley Barcola.

Playing It Smart

Rather than committing to a single target, Berta's strategy involves advancing both negotiations simultaneously before making a final decision on which player to pursue. The approach provides insurance against losing either prospect – particularly Barcola, who remains a target for Liverpool.

Encouragingly for the Emirates faithful, reliable sources indicate both Rogers and Barcola have expressed genuine enthusiasm about the prospect of joining Arsenal. Neither player appears to harbour reservations about the move.

Rogers Preferred, But Barcola in the Mix

Transfer analyst Fabrizio Romano has identified Rogers as Arsenal's primary objective, revealing the club has already made substantial headway in convincing the Villa winger to make the switch.

Aston Villa have slapped a £130m price tag on Rogers, though Arsenal are exploring creative solutions to structure the deal – potentially incorporating add-ons or alternative payment mechanisms to reduce the initial outlay. Liverpool's pursuit of Barcola means Arsenal cannot afford to sit idle on their preferred target.

PSG, meanwhile, are demanding a minimum of €135m – approximately £116m – for Barcola. Either acquisition would obliterate Arsenal's existing transfer record of £105m (including add-ons) for Declan Rice.

The summer window is shaping up as a pivotal moment for Mikel Arteta's project, with the club prepared to splash serious money in their quest for Premier League dominance.
