The Blues have placed Alejandro Garnacho firmly in the shop window this summer, just twelve months after acquiring the Argentine winger from Manchester United for £40m. Chelsea's willingness to move him on has now crystallised into concrete asking prices, with the London club adopting a two-tier approach depending on the suitor's geography.

The valuation structure sees overseas clubs quoted at €50m, whilst Premier League interested parties face a £45m demand. This pricing strategy carries direct financial consequences for United, who retained a 10 percent sell-on clause when offloading Garnacho last summer. Should Chelsea secure their full asking price from a foreign buyer, the Red Devils would pocket £4.26m; a domestic sale at the higher asking price would yield £4.5m.

Garnacho's swift departure from Stamford Bridge comes after a disappointing single season in west London. He is not currently training under new manager Xabi Alonso as Chelsea actively work with his representatives to facilitate an exit this window.

Roma have emerged as genuine contenders, though the Italians initially favoured a loan arrangement. Chelsea have firmly rejected this approach, insisting on a permanent sale. Garnacho himself views a move to the Eternal City favourably, according to reports. Napoli also feature in the conversation, having previously attempted to sign the winger during his United tenure in January 2025, when they reportedly tabled a £40m offer.

The Santos deal between the two clubs this week—the Brazilian midfielder joining United on a £48m plus £2m add-ons arrangement after passing his medical—appears to have strengthened relations between the sides ahead of potential further business involving Garnacho.
