Arsenal are pushing to bolster their left-wing department this summer, and transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Christos Tzolis is keen on making the move to the Emirates.

The 24-year-old Greek international is Mikel Arteta's primary target to fill the void left by Leandro Trossard's impending departure. With Besiktas circling the Belgium winger, the Gunners have identified Tzolis as their ideal replacement, maintaining regular dialogue with his representatives.

Tzolis enjoyed a stellar campaign with Club Brugge last season, netting 22 goals and laying on 29 assists across 52 appearances in the Belgian Pro League. His performances have caught the attention of Arsenal, who are eyeing a deal in the region of £35 million to bring the winger back to English football, having previously spent time at Norwich.

Club Brugge are prepared to sanction the sale provided their valuation is met. The Belgian club are seeking a fee that would set a new record transfer benchmark for the league—currently standing at the €37.5 million (£32.5m) AC Milan forked out to sign Charles De Ketelaere in 2022. Tzolis's potential move would eclipse that figure and make him the most expensive Greek player in history.

Arsenal won the Premier League title last season and reached the Champions League final, with Gabriel Martinelli and Trossard serving as their primary left-wing options. Trossard's exit appears increasingly likely, leaving a gap that Arteta and sporting director Andrea Berta are keen to fill promptly.

Romano's latest update suggests that Tzolis wants the Arsenal move to happen, with the club awaiting final confirmation from Trossard regarding his Besiktas switch. Everything appears to be in place for the Greek forward to travel to London and complete his transfer, pending the green light from the Gunners hierarchy.
