Barcola Open to Liverpool Switch as PSG Prepare for Winger Exodus

Bradley Barcola is ready to entertain a fresh challenge away from Paris Saint-Germain, with Liverpool and Arsenal both circling the French winger as PSG brace themselves for his potential departure.
According to reporting from The Athletic FC Podcast, Barcola's frustration stems from a lack of guaranteed minutes at the Parc des Princes. With Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Desire Doue already competing for his spot, PSG's plans to recruit additional wingers—including Yan Diomande and Maghnes Akliouche—threaten to push him further down the pecking order. Akliouche is earmarked to operate on the right, while Diomande's arrival could relegate Barcola to the bench at left wing.
The 23-year-old has just two years remaining on his contract, a factor that has emboldened PSG's rivals to make their move. Liverpool, in particular, view him as a prime target following Diomande's decision to join PSG instead. Arsenal, meanwhile, are regarded as the current frontrunners.
"PSG would like to keep him, but they are realistic," an insider explained. "He wants to be a regular starter, and if the right opportunity comes along, he would likely be open to moving."
The Reds and Gunners would need to dig deep financially. Barcola's valuation is expected to dwarf the £116m paid for Elliot Anderson, making any deal a substantial investment. There's also the matter of his preferred position—Barcola operates primarily on the left, whereas Liverpool are hunting for a right-winger replacement. Whether he'd adapt to a different flank remains an open question.
For now, any negotiations appear to be on hold. France's ongoing World Cup campaign means PSG are keen to avoid distracting their star, with serious talks likely to resume once the tournament concludes.
