Tottenham plotting £200m+ spending spree with Kroupi and Leao targets funded by mass exodus

Tottenham's summer revolution shows no signs of slowing, with the club preparing to add two more attacking talents to Roberto De Zerbi's ranks by cashing in on a wholesale clearout of fringe players.
The Lilywhites have already smashed their transfer record twice this window—£85 million for Mateus Fernandes followed by a whopping £100 million for Sandro Tonali—while also recruiting Jan Paul van Hecke for £52 million and landing Andy Robertson, Marcos Senesi, and Martin Dubravka on free deals. Yves Bissouma's contract was allowed to expire, while academy prospects Alfie Devine (£6 million to Preston) and Alejo Veliz (£8 million to Bahia) have been moved on.
Now, Spurs are implementing what football.london describes as a "new policy with exits," intent on shifting players for improved value at opportune moments. The immediate sales are already generating significant funds: Luka Vuskovic heads to Brighton for £50 million as Van Hecke's replacement, Radu Dragusin is joining Fiorentina on loan with an obligation to buy for £22 million, with Devine and Veliz completing a quartet worth £86 million combined.
But the potential windfall extends considerably further. Cristian Romero, Lucas Bergvall, and Guglielmo Vicario are all potential departure candidates, valued at £50 million, £50 million, and £20 million respectively. Djed Spence, priced at £25 million, features on Everton's radar as they hunt a right-back. These departures alone could push total outgoings well past £200 million.
That war chest is destined for two headline acquisitions. Bournemouth's Eli Junior Kroupi sits top of De Zerbi's wishlist, with Spurs preparing a £75 million opening bid to test the Cherries' patience. The teenage sensation has notched an impressive 13 goals in 33 Premier League appearances during his debut season—a record for a player his age. Bournemouth's valuation sits between £80 million and £100 million, though Spurs harbour confidence that Kroupi is keen on the move.
AC Milan winger Rafael Leao represents the second prong of attack. The Portuguese international has finally signalled his willingness to make the long-anticipated switch to English football. Milan have slashed their asking price to €50 million (£43 million), potentially enabling Spurs to seal a bargain deal for a player who has proven himself a genuine star in Serie A.
Kroupi would provide immediate competition for Dominic Solanke and secure the centre-forward position for years to come, whilst Leao would inject world-class quality down the flank. De Zerbi, now 47, has been handed a blank cheque by the Tottenham hierarchy—the challenge now falls on him to deliver a return to the top six.
